And thus begins a new escapade in my life, though it is far from joining the Foreign Service or backpacking through Africa, it will be a quest none the less.  I will be in Florence, Italy for nine months, there I will study and sculpt and in the process engrave a new period into my spirit.  A good friend joked that in the time of my absence she could give birth; though farfetched, I feel that these nine months here will bear me into someone new and different, and when I return home I will be closer to being an enlightened soul.  I have no clear idea what lies ahead of me, all I can do is hope for wisdom and velocity.
